Nicole Aitken, Health and Safety Officer

SCFP/CUPE 2626

[]

The Health and Safety Officer is in charge of health and safety, and environmental issues related to the Union. She is responsible for connecting with the membership and the University to ensure the best possible working conditions for our members. In addition, she oversees the Union’s Green Team (always looking for new members) and all Union environmental initiatives.

Nicole Aitken is a third-year PhD student in Psychology and is studying ways to motivate people to be more pro-environmental. Prior to starting her PhD, Nicole spent the last seven years researching industrial organizational psychology (happy healthy workers). She looks forward to the work she can do this year to help make the University a safer and greener place to work and study.
