Majid Naji, Vice-President

The Vice-President is responsible for all internal communications with union members. He is responsible for the Website, Facebook, bulletins and other CUPE 2626 publications. The Vice-President is also in charge of the Grievance Committee.

The President and VP are also responsible for creating contacts and communicating with university unions, student associations and other external organizations.

Majid is a PhD candidate in Electrical Engineering at the School of Information Technology and Engineering (SITE) at the University of Ottawa. He obtained a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from Université Laval. He has a strong background in social groups, unions and NGO activities as well as serving as VP of ISAUO at the University of Ottawa for 2 years. His goal is to have more interactive communication and to keep University of Ottawa students informed, especially CUPE 2626 members. His hobbies are astronomy and sports as well as history.
