CUPE 2626 Annual General Assembly

Dear CUPE 2626 members,

Thank you to all who came out on March 10th for our AGA. We had a great turn out and were able to pass some very important Agenda items.

HOWEVER, due to the loss of quorum, we were not able to finish. We have to complete the election of the remaining Executive Board jobs and the Bargaining Committee. We can finish this business within 2.5 hours.

THEREFORE, we will reconvene the AGA on March 29, 2010 at 5:00 pm at the Alumni Auditorium. This is to make sure that you, the members, make the decisions!

We will have a PIZZA PARTY after the meeting, to thank those who attend.

7. Elections
Elections of Executive Officers, and of the Bargaining Committee.  These are the people who run the day-to-day business of your union, and the people who will bargain our new contract with the University. So you might want to vote on the candidates - or become a candidate yourself!

8. Honoraria of union officers
We recommend an increase in the salaries of the Executive positions of CUPE 2626, to ensure that members can and will devote the time necessary to these positions, and to attract more interest from graduate students to run for Executive positions.
