Equality Officer
The Equality Officer is to act as the liaison between particular constituencies within our membership and the EC, this chiefly includes Undergraduate Members, 2626-1 members, and 2626-2 members
a) The Equality Officer can organize a SGA of the members of CUPE 2626-1 in order to consult them and to inform them of what is going on within CUPE 2626.
b) The Equality Officer can organize a SGA of the members of CUPE 2626-2 in order to consult them and to inform them of what is going on within CUPE 2626.
The Equality Officer is to report to the EC conditions which impede the participation of particular constituencies and to facilitate the participation of those particular constituencies
The Equality Officer is charged with ensuring that Policy 110A is adequately implemented and respected.
The Equality Officer shall be a member of the joint consultative committee as defined in Policy 110A.
The Equality Officer may be assigned specific tasks and duties by the President or by the EC.
The Equality Officer must report on her activities to the EC.
At the end of her mandate, the Equality Officer must submit to the EC a written report which will then be filed in the CUPE 2626 archives.
Subject to Article 14, the position of Equality Officer is a paid position.
